Location

I work with clients based in Portsmouth, Petersfield, Liss and Lyndhurst in Hampshire and further afield in West Sussex, and Surrey.

Kitchen Design Background

I studied Interior Design and fell in love with the whole process. I have been designing bespoke fitted furniture for more than 10 years. I enjoy tapping into each client’s individual personality, aesthetic tastes and lifestyle to create a design that cannot only be enjoyed by the whole family but which also reflects the client’s individual character and perfectly suits their day to day routine. Whether it be a small, cramped kitchen that requires an inventive storage solution or a forgotten study that needs to be converted into a spectacular guest room, the final result will be different each time.

Favourite room

I think it’s important for the family to connect, so I’d say the kitchen is my favourite room in my home as it’s where my friends and family get together and socialise at the end of the day. The breakfast table is also where I do most of my designing as I enjoy the constant stream of people coming in and out. I think that the heart of your home, whether it is the kitchen or the living room, should be created and designed for the purpose of socialising – using inventive ideas to maximise space to ensure everyone in the family is be involved.

My Design Heroes

Kelly Hoppen: I love the understated elegance of Kelly Hoppen’s interiors and admire the way she contrasts a simple colour palette with statement pieces such as a chandelier or a large canvas. I believe that you can incorporate this theme into any home by taking an ornament or object that you are particularly fond of and use it as the inspiration for the style of the whole room.

Location

My clients are usually based in and around London. I also design a lot of kitchens for customers in Beaconsfield, Marlow, Maidenhead in Buckinghamshire, Oxford and Henley-on-Thames in Oxfordshire, Windsor and Reading in Berkshire and St Albans in Hertfordshire.

Kitchen Design Background

With a degree in Product Design from Central St Martin's in London, I started off my career designing fitted bedroom furniture and creating interior displays for exhibitions and showrooms (within Harrods and John Lewis amongst others). I then ventured into product design management with Hasbro Europe and worked for the BBC in Hong Kong. However, over the last few years I have come full circle back to my first love, designing furniture layouts and interiors.

Working with Conquest has given me the opportunity to create interiors through the intelligent use of space with practical, yet beautifully crafted furniture that remains within budget and exceeds the client's vision each time. It also leaves me feeling proud to be part of a team that provides a service which is second to none and genuinely cares for our customer throughout the process.

A client once said to me ‘I fell in love with your proposal and had to have it', and since that day I now aim for that same reaction each time. My ultimate goal is to make the customer happy, meet their needs and budget, tap into their individual design style and deliver an exciting and innovative solution.

My Design Heroes

Orla Kierley, (a household name in fashion, accessories, stationery, housewares and now furniture) once said: “In the end I do what is right whether it is on trend or not. It's good to be aware of them and spot them, but I think it's good to go with your own instinct” and I respect, admire and practise this philosophy. I believe that when one sets their heart on a particular design, it should ultimately meet their functional requirements, satisfy the spirit and be an excellent investment.
