My clients are usually based in and around London. I also design a lot of kitchens for customers in Beaconsfield, Marlow, Maidenhead in Buckinghamshire, Oxford and Henley-on-Thames in Oxfordshire, Windsor and Reading in Berkshire and St Albans in Hertfordshire.
Kitchen Design Background
With a degree in Product Design from Central St Martin's in London, I started off my career designing fitted bedroom furniture and creating interior displays for exhibitions and showrooms (within Harrods and John Lewis amongst others). I then ventured into product design management with Hasbro Europe and worked for the BBC in Hong Kong. However, over the last few years I have come full circle back to my first love, designing furniture layouts and interiors.
Working with Conquest has given me the opportunity to create interiors through the intelligent use of space with practical, yet beautifully crafted furniture that remains within budget and exceeds the client's vision each time. It also leaves me feeling proud to be part of a team that provides a service which is second to none and genuinely cares for our customer throughout the process.
A client once said to me ‘I fell in love with your proposal and had to have it', and since that day I now aim for that same reaction each time. My ultimate goal is to make the customer happy, meet their needs and budget, tap into their individual design style and deliver an exciting and innovative solution.
My Design Heroes
Orla Kierley, (a household name in fashion, accessories, stationery, housewares and now furniture) once said: “In the end I do what is right whether it is on trend or not. It's good to be aware of them and spot them, but I think it's good to go with your own instinct” and I respect, admire and practise this philosophy. I believe that when one sets their heart on a particular design, it should ultimately meet their functional requirements, satisfy the spirit and be an excellent investment.
